Allan Hawco
Allan Hawco is a renaissance man. The creator, writer, executive producer and star of television’s hit shows Republic of Doyle and Caught, he is also the executive producer and star of Frontier, a Discovery Canada and Netflix original series. In addition, Allan is frequently seen in feature films, other television programs, and on stage. Imparting his high-wattage celebrity and trademark charisma into his keynotes, emceeing, and endorsement activities, Allan ensures that whatever he undertakes shines.
Most known for his work on Republic of Doyle and Caught, Allan has a number of other television and film credits to his name including Tom Clancey’s Jack Ryan, Book Of Negroes, Weirdos, The Child Remains, Hyena Road, Love and Savagery, ZOS, Richard Attenborough’s Closing the Ring and many more.
On stage, Allan has maintained his roots in the theatre as the co-founder and co-artistic director-producer of The Company Theatre, where he garnered rave reviews as the lead in many of the Company’s productions including Whistle in the Dark, Festen, and Belleville.
Allan’s major accolades include awards such as the Gascon Thomas Award from the National Theatre School; the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Canadian Television Hall of Fame; multiple Canadian Screen Award and Gemini nominations for Republic of Doyle and Caught; and various nominations for his work as an actor throughout his career.
