Travis is the creator of one of North America’s first decorating shows, the popular Debbie Travis’ Painted House, which ran for 13 seasons. She followed this up with one of the first reality TV design shows, Debbie Travis’ Facelift. She also starred in two primetime shows, From the Ground Up and All for One, as well as a heart-warming and often hilarious mini-series La Dolce Debbie, where she restored a 13th century Tuscan ruin into a gorgeous boutique hotel.
Today, Travis’ production company, WAMGRP, produces award-winning documentary series for a variety of major networks — including CBC and Discovery — and has garnered more than 45 Gemini nominations and several wins. Travis also runs a luxury boutique hotel in Tuscany, Villa Reniella, where she hosts girls’ getaways and corporate events.
