Lisa Ray is, in her own words, a “cancer graduate.” The former host of Top Chef Canada and an internationally acclaimed actress, Lisa publicly shared her diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma with the world in 2009. Since then, she has overcome the disease and gone on to be a vocal spokesperson for the cause of cancer awareness. Whether on the stage or the screen, Lisa channels her beauty, charm, poise and wit to make all of her appearances both meaningful and memorable.
Lisa is perhaps best-known for her performance in the Oscar-nominated film Water, directed by Deepa Mehta. She started her career at just 16 years old, and has held starring roles in both Bollywood and Hollywood, appearing in over 27 film and television titles.
Her additional entertainment experience spans from hosting her own entertainment show in India, to hosting award shows such as India’s popular series OMG (Oh My Gold) on TLC, as well as appearances at The Genies and The Giller Prize, among others. She has also been featured in the Canadian edition of Hello Magazine as one of the nation’s “50 Most Beautiful People.”
