The hilarious co-host of Daryn and Deepa Mornings, Deepa Prashad is one of the friendliest faces in media. Known across Canada for her work in radio and television and as a celebrated Toronto “foodie”, she originally rose to fame through her work on Family Channel and blogTO. An experienced host and content producer, Deepa is a hit with all of her partners.
A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Radio and Television Arts program, Deepa became the Family Channel’s official host while still an undergraduate and travelled across Canada emceeing their live concerts. After that, she joined blogTO as one of their first digital hosts, producing, writing, and presenting her own segments. These ranged from restaurant reviews to event and local business coverage, and from “streeters” to red carpet interviews at high-profile events, including at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Since then, Deepa has been a regular on Canadian radio, appearing on popular programs such as The Roz and Mocha Show, and Mornings with Chris Kelly, before co-hosting Daryn and Deepa Mornings on Toronto’s Virgin Radio. Deepa also appears regularly as a guest on CTV’s The Social.
Passionate about her love of Formula 1, Deepa dives into all things F1 on her social media accounts. She also hosts her own funny and informative social media series, “The Car Radar” in which she shows an in-depth look at cars both new and old.
Deepa lives in the GTA with her husband and her outrageously adorable cats.
