The co-host of Daryn and Deepa Mornings, Deepa Prashad is one of the friendliest faces in media. Known across Canada for her work in radio and television, and a celebrated Toronto “foodie”, she originally rose to fame on Family Channel and blogTO. An experienced host and content producer, Deepa is a hit with all of her partners.
A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Radio and Television Arts program, Deepa became the Family Channel’s official host while still an undergraduate and travelled across Canada emceeing their live concerts.
As one of blogTO’s first digital hosts, Deepa produced, presented, and wrote her own segments. These ranged from restaurant reviews to event and local business coverage, from “streeters” to red carpet interviews at high-profile events, including at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Since then, Deepa has been a regular on national radio and television media, appearing on popular programs such as The Roz and Mocha Show, and Mornings with Chris Kelly, before debuting her own current morning program.
