Jon Montgomery
Jon Montgomery captured the hearts of Canadians during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, and continues to do so as the host of CTV’s The Amazing Race Canada. Jon’s enthusiastic and positive attitude on the show is infectious as he oversees teams of competitors from across Canada who race around the world in hopes of winning a big cash prize. Now in its sixth season, Jon has become a staple in the CTV summer line-up attracting, on average, almost two million viewers each season, making it one of Canada’s most popular shows.
At the 2010 Olympics, Jon won a gold medal in the skeleton race, securing his place in history with a 0.07 seconds lead, and establishing him as one of the best. Jon’s celebratory walk through Whistler after his win showcased his passion, spirit, and sense of humour, while also securing him as a beloved sport icon. Having only entered the sport in 2002, his successful climb to the top of his game stands as an act of inspiration for amateur athletes everywhere.
Outside of being a famous television host and athlete, Jon is also a trained and successful auctioneer, father to a young son, and a lover of the outdoors, adventure, and new challenges.
