Preet Banerjee
Best known as a financial panelist on CBC’s The National and as a weekly contributor to Global’s The Morning Show, Preet Banerjee seeks to financially empower people through his unique ability to take the complexity out of money matters. The bestselling author of three books, Banerjee is also a columnist for the Globe and Mail, host of the “Mostly Money” podcast, and a YouTube creator with over 100K subscribers.
Banerjee is currently a consultant to the wealth management industry and the founder of MoneyGaps, a hybrid-advisor financial technology startup. He previously worked as a financial advisor and in institutional investment sales and product development. In 2012, he was also named one of Canada’s “Top 10 Financial Visionaries” by Advisor.ca.
The author of three books, Banerjee’s latest, Stop Over-Thinking Your Money: The Five Simple Rules of Financial Success, equates personal finance to physical fitness and shares the financial equivalents of exercise and diet to help readers get in top financial shape. Known for his world-class expertise, his blog was voted Canada’s best investing blog by Globe and Mail readers in 2010.
Banerjee was also the inaugural winner of Ultimate W Network Expert Challenge, a reality show competition, which led him to being named the host of Million Dollar Neighbourhood on The Oprah Winfrey Network.
A board member with the Foundation for the Advancement of Investor Rights Canada and a former governor of the University of Toronto, Banerjee is currently pursuing a doctorate at the Henley Business School in the UK. He is also a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and holds the Derivatives Market Specialist and Financial Management Advisor designations.
