Rick Campanelli
Rick Campanelli

Rick Campanelli is one of Canada’s most recognizable TV personalities. After spending nearly a decade with MuchMusic as one of their most popular hosts, he made the leap from the “nation’s music station” to ET Canada, where he covered many of the world’s most glamorous events from the Golden Globes to the Oscars. Rick also co-hosted Z103.5’s morning show, where he dug into local and global headlines, as well as exciting entertainment news, and has since moved on to co-host on 98.1 CHFI with his colleague Brooksy. Whether creating custom digital content or hosting media events, Rick brings his natural charm and wit to everything he does.

Rick’s on-air career started after winning the 1994 MuchMusic Temp contest. His boyish charm and easy-going, up-front style quickly made him a fan-favourite of viewers from coast to coast. From his flying leap off a jagged cliff with Sean Paul, to his dive out of an airplane with the Foo Fighters, to the pounding he took from pro wrestler, Cain, his willingness to go the extra distance speaks volumes about his work ethic and dedication.

After nearly 10 loyal years at MuchMusic, Rick joined the revered Entertainment Tonight brand with the launch of ET Canada into the Canadian marketplace. He co-hosted the program for 12 years. He also hosted Food Network Canada’s The Incredible Food Race, a family-oriented series where he presided over exciting cook-off challenges.

A busy father of three, Rick has also been involved with several charitable organizations including World Vision Canada, Tuberous Sclerosis, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, McMaster Children’s Hospital, and Kids Help Phone.
