Award-winning Television Personality Sangita Patel has been revealed as the host of TLC’s newest reality show! Love and Translation is the hotly-anticipated addition to the channel’s dating show lineup, and premieres January 21st at 10PM EST.
The show revolves around three American men trying to find love on an island paradise. The twist? None of the female contestants on the show speak English — and the men don’t speak anything but! With no translators or apps available to them, the singles will need to count on their senses to reveal if love can transcend a language barrier.
Sangita announced the news back in December on her Instagram, explaining how her time with the show came to be: “Let me give you a little back story… I got on a Zoom call not knowing what it entailed. […]Well, they asked me to host the show [and] I’m still in awe, my first step into the American market!” In another post (and pictured in an iconic dress for the Critics’ Choice Awards’ red carpet, no less!),
Sangita expressed her excitement for this new venture: “Pinching myself, this is happening! Leaping into my next chapter.”
This is far from Sangita’s first television rodeo. Previously, she was the host of HGTV’s Home to Win, as well as co-host of ET Canada. With her infectious laugh and seemingly endless positivity, Sangita is the perfect fit for this new venture. We are so excited for Sangita, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to Love and Translation!
