Off The Beaten Path: Unique Talent For Your Upcoming Campaigns!
Meaningful Influence
At The Spotlight Agency, we know that following popular advertising trends doesn’t always correlate to strong engagement and a successful campaign. Alternatively, combining unique talent with strong, authentic storytelling can connect audiences to brands on a much deeper level.
Enter: Ray Zahab!

Ray Zahab
Inspirational Ultra-Marathon Runner and Adventurer
Ray Zahab wants people to know they are extraordinary. A former sedentary pack-a-day smoker, Ray turned his life around when he decided to get in shape and enter the world of ultra-marathons. Since then, he’s gone on to inspire millions of people around the world by completing jaw-dropping journeys, including running 7500km across the Sahara, setting a Guinness World Record, and travelling close to 20,000km on foot through some of the largest deserts and coldest regions on Earth.
When he’s not out exploring harsh environments, Ray mainly works as a keynote speaker, but he has also done some fantastic work with the likes of Canada Goose and even Apple, for one of their more rugged watches. With such a unique story behind him, Ray radiates authenticity when paired with the right brand partner.
Mini Case Study: Ray Zahab x Nicorette
Smoking and athletes don’t usually go hand-in-hand. Not many people expect an incredibly successful Ultramarathon runner like Ray to have been a pack-a-day smoker. This dichotomy made him a perfect candidate for a partnership with Nicorette— showcasing products that help ease smokers into quitting for good.

Ray Created two Instagram reels for Nicorette. Both videos had a similar theme: Ray speaking to his audience about the many arduous journeys he’s taken across some of the harshest climates on Earth, and admitting that quitting smoking was actually the hardest undertaking of his life.
Combined, his two video reels reached a staggering 19 MILLION+ people, with a collective watch time of almost 17 hours. The posts also had over 400+ interactions, with a mostly male audience— a correlation that makes a lot of sense when you take into account that more men are smokers than women. All in all, the partnership was a great success, not just because of Ray, but because of his authentic relationship to the story.
