2021 Brand Campaign: Tracy Moore and Andrew Phung

This year, our talent partnered with many of Canada’s biggest brands to deliver high-impact, creative campaigns that resulted in expanding our clients’ reach and influence in their target markets.

The Spotlight Agency prides itself in connecting brands with nationally recognized Canadian personalities who authentically relate to their products and services — and the results speak for themselves.

Below is a snapshot of some of the campaigns that we were fortunate to work on this year.

Andrew Phung

With a passion for tech and a large, engaged online community, Andrew Phung was a natural partner for Samsung in promoting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G.

Samsung was looking to work with a with a well-known personality with proficiency in creating high-quality digital content campaigns. Andrew — star of the hit TV show, Kim’s Convenience, and the co-creator and star of the new CBC comedy Run the Burbs — is a comedian, writer, and producer experienced in self-producing quality social media content.

Andrew wrote and recorded a fun and informative video (that even featured cameos of his adorable kids) that explored all of the smartphone’s incredible features and how they helped enhance his day-to-day life. Andrew shared it on his Instagram feed and stories — to his 78K+ followers — and it was then boosted by the brand.

Just two weeks after it was posted, Andrew’s video had almost 8,000 organic views and 1,000 interactions, including likes, comments, shares, and bookmarks.

Anna Olson

Entering her third year as a brand ambassador for LG in 2022, Anna Olson promotes all of LG’s kitchen appliances that she uses as a prolific baker. Anna is one of the country’s most recognizable television chefs, hosting the Food Network’s Bake with Anna Olson, Fresh with Anna Olson, and Sugar.

Anna’s relatable approach to cooking truly connects with LG’s consumer base. She produces monthly social media content for the brand, which is shared on both LG’s and her personal channels. Anna’s November in-feed Facebook post reached over 185K+ people with almost 30K+ engagements! Likewise, her Instagram in-feed post reached 18K+ people and had almost 1200 engagements.

Recipe development is one of Anna’s biggest accomplishments as the author of several bestselling cookbooks. This year, she developed exclusive holiday recipes for LG, which were shared on a branded landing page and that she demonstrated on Breakfast Television using LG products.

Tracy Moore

Tracy Moore is one of Canada’s most recognizable media personalities as the host of Cityline. She is also a hockey mom and loves her Hyundai Palisade, a perfect vehicle for her busy and active family.

Tracy is entering her third year as a Hyundai ambassador. In her role, she produces monthly social content that explores the many features of the Palisade and how it’s a fantastic car for her constantly-on-the-move family.

A trusted voice, Tracy is beloved for her real and relatable content. One of her more recent promotional posts on Instagram has reached almost 50K accounts organically and have had more than 58K+ impressions and 5100+ interactions.

Preet Banerjee

Alongside our celebrity talent, we also represent subject-matter experts. Behavioural finance expert Preet Banerjee worked with BMO on two campaigns this year, which included building free online courses and creating informational videos on investments and ETFs.

Preet is a go-to media expert on finance with a background as a financial advisor. His experience as a keynote speaker, as well as his impressive credentials, made him the perfect partner for BMO’s goal of creating quality, online finance courses for Canadians.

Preet built two digital courses on investments — researching, writing, and recording each course — as well as leading them as the instructor. He did the same for his in-depth informational video on ETFs, which has 176K+ views on YouTube to date.

In addition, Preet created social content to promote his investment course on his personal social channels and the brand’s channels, all of which included videos and static infographics.

Todd Talbot

TD came to The Spotlight Agency looking to promote their insurance and mortgage products to families and homeowners. Love It or List It Vancouver’s Todd Talbot was a natural fit to promote these products, as he is a father of two and known to audiences as a real estate expert with several properties of his own.

A trained actor and writer, Todd produced three videos per campaign which were shared across his and TD’s social media channels. He also made a media appearance on Breakfast Television in connection with TD insurance.
