NEW SERIES: HerSTORY with Tessa Virtue
Tune in to CBC as Tessa sits down for intimate one-on-one conversations with many of Canada’s current female winter athletes, uncovering inspiring and emotional moments in their lives while celebrating their resilience, diversity, and strength. Episodes revolve around incredible athletes including short track speed skater Kim Boutin, freestyle skier Cassie Sharpe, ski jumper Alexandria Loutitt, ski cross racer Marielle Thompson, bobsleigh pilot Cynthia Appiah, snowboarder Laurie Blouin, skeleton racer Hallie Clarke, and figure skater Piper Gilles.
Through Tessa’s thoughtful questions, we learn more about our favourite athletes, including why Alexandria Loutit only wears her moccasins on the podium, the discrimination Cassie Sharpe experienced early on in her career, and how Cynthia Appiah uses sport to find her voice, among so many other incredible stories.

Tessa and Scott’s Quest for Gold
In other Olympic news, we were thrilled to help reunite Tessa with her former Ice Dance partner Scott Moir in a recent collaboration with the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG). The duo promoted the Team Canada Quest For Gold ticket, which provides athletes with funding for costs such as travel and accommodation so that they can focus on what they do best — their sport.
